Bob is the Cantor Emeritus of a large congregation in Indiana, which he served for about 30 years. A lifelong learner, he has also been an award-winning storyteller, author of a book of poetry, founding president of a statewide association of mediators, mathematician in the Pentagon, soloist with a number of orchestras, university faculty member, acting rabbi on cruise ships, and licensed psychotherapist in private practice.

When planning his estate distribution, Bob knew he wanted to focus on Israel. “I thoroughly researched options, and Yad Sarah was my clear choice for a number of reasons.” Bob was impressed by Yad Sarah’s “huge response to a great social need and its magnificent mobilization of volunteers.” Its stellar rating on Charity Navigator increased his confidence that his donation would be used responsibly and effectively. Bob also appreciated Yad Sarah’s Charitable Gift Annuity program, which would help finance his retirement while eventually enhancing Yad Sarah’s programs.

Bob made his first major contribution to Yad Sarah five years ago, and has made additional contributions yearly since then. He reflects on his choice with satisfaction.

"From every point of view, I am more than pleased to donate to an organization that supports my personal social agenda, serves a valuable need in Israel, and strengthens my personal finances. Talk about a win-win!"
